GrandMother Tree Ent Bag

$888.00

The GrandMother Tree Ent Bag was crocheted with reclaimed wool, acrylic and cotton fibers. This over the the shoulder bag was inspired by the tree ents of folklore, as well as my own experiences held in the arms of the eldest snarled trees found in ancient groves that I like to call “grandMother.” The wisdom that lives in our forests is beyond our comprehension and yet, we can feel it, carry it with us even. This freeform design seeks to honor that wisdom in a way that can be physically carried with us and help us carry what we need to. This bag is reversible and invertible, which makes it more durable than most woven bags as well as adaptable to many different dimensional objects. The reversed side is comprised of multi-colored scrap yarns collected over years of crochet, and symbolic of the colorful insides of a tree who has seen much time come and go. With a three rope strap that is woven into the frame, this bag was designed to hold the weight of whatever might fit in her face.
